Drew, Jo and Roland are hanging out at Zoom Comics reading the latest BeetleBorgs comics when local bullies Van and Trip dare them to go into the old abandoned Hillhurst House. They accept and when Jo bumps into an old pipe organ, a "phasm" named Flabber emerges. As a reward for rescuing him from the organ, he grants them each one wish - and they all wish to become BeetleBorgs.

Later, Drew uses his civilian powers to confiscate the film since the kids are worried that their secret transformations may have been caught on tape.

Jo decides to use her haunting appearance to scare the Magnavors, get the book back, send the monsters back to the comics and, finally, to get visible again.

A peeved Vexor sends Lottapus to Charterville to retrieve the amulet and meanwhile, Flabber warns the kids to get the amulet from Nano and destroy it.
